• • Oh America, sweet America, what fate awaits you?
,
Atlas Shrugged  | Ayn Rand, in her book Atlas Shrugged, published in 1957, did an excellent job of forecasting what would happen with the current system. Every big organization, whether it be unions, corporations, NGO’s, associations and the like, all have ‘their man in Washington’ pouring money into the ‘system’ in exchange for political and legislative favors. Every new piece of legislation has one or more special interest groups attached to, or was the author of it. Just about everything that Rand forecast in her book has come true.

• • A prophetic perspective from 1975
,
Atlas Shrugged  |Capitalism  | Even well before 1975, 1957 to be exact, another author predicted the future for America in exquisite detail. That author was Ayn Rand in her novel, “Atlas Shrugged”. She accurately predicted the sad state of America as it exists today.

• • There is no freedom, without individual freedom
,
Atlas Shrugged  |Capitalism  | In the book, “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand, her philosophy of the individual and individual freedom was embodied in one chapter in the book entitled, “This is John Galt Speaking”. We have excerpted a few lines from this chapter, as they are relevant to individual freedom and free choice.

• • Our government has become a rogue spider
,
Capitalism  | Ayn Rand, author of several books on the subject of the individual and government, wrote this: “America’s abundance was created not by public sacrifices to “the common good”, but by the productive genius of free men who pursued their own personal interests and the making of their own private fortunes.”

The coming war between producer and taker
,
Atlas Shrugged  |Capitalism  | What happens over time is the producer starts realizing his “fair” share is anything but fair and the producer starts thinking very hard about either not producing any more, or hiding what he produces. Or, he takes his wealth, his ideas, his skills, or his company that employs a lot of people, offshore. It’s called brain and money drain and occurs often in socialist countries. What happens is the wealth, creativity and production is removed from the country and it descends into mindless mediocrity. This was the basis, or plot if you will, of Ayn Rand’s novel, “Atlas Shrugged”.

Welcome to The Socialist Union of Ameri-EU
,
Atlas Shrugged  | One day, the producers of society will revolt, and tell the whiners where to get off. When they do, all Hell is going to break loose and chaos will ensue. [....] One author, Ayn Rand, saw into the future and wrote of it 51 years ago (1957) in the novel, “Atlas Shrugged”.
